Cancionero de Juan Alfonso de Baena

A critical edition of Juan Alfonso de Baena's Cancionero, accompanied by an introduction, notes, critical apparatus, and indexes. The complete text has been edited from the only existing manuscript, held at the National Library of France (Paris), and is accompanied by comprehensive annotations that resolve many of the complex problems it presents. This is the first critical edition of this work to address previously unresolved issues of textual and lexical interpretation. The last edition of the text was published more than thirty years ago. We have incorporated the latest bibliographic contributions on the work and offer texts free of transmission errors and with clear explanations to facilitate reading.
