Sinopsis
Aurora Luque Ortiz was born in Almería on 16 August 1962. She spent her childhood in Cádiar, in the Alpujarra, Granada. It was also in Granada where she completed her undergraduate studies and later, in 1990, his Ph.D. in Classical Philology. She lived in Talavera de la Reina and Álora. For over 10 years she has been Associate Professor of Greek in the B.A. Institute of Miraflores de los Ángeles of Malaga where she also lives now. She has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars and has won the following awards for poetry: the García Lorca 1981 for her Hiperiónida, runner-up for Adonais Prize 1989 for Problemas de doblaje, the First Prize for Poetry at the 4th Contest of Narrative and Poetry Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, was a finalist of the International Poetry Award of the City of Melilla 1992, and was awarded the Rafael Alberti Prize 1997 for her Transitoria. A lover and specialist of Greek language, she has translated various authors to Spanish. She has published poems in several magazines like Barcarola, Turia, Clarín, Ficciones, Zurgai.
