Sinopsis
Jordi Julià (Sant Celoni, 1972), poet and essayist, is the author of the following volumes of poetry: Els grills que no he matat (1998), Tornar els dilluns/Volver los lunes (2002), Els déus de fang (unpublished, 2003), Els derrotats (2003), Murs de contenció (2004), Miracles (2004), Hiverns suaus (2005), Versos (2006) and Sota la llum de Mart (2006). Julià holds an undergraduate degree and a doctorate in comparative literature and literary theory from the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona, where he has been teaching since 1995. Together with Pere Ballart, he has published Lírica de fin de siglo. Poesía catalana y española 1980-2000 (2005). Julià practices a reflective realism typical of the generation who came of age at the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall and, as Ismael Fuster wrote, to him, "Poetry is a verbal art form that allows us to be understood and to understand each other and should help us escape from dogmatisms and stretch our imagination."
