Sinopsis
Julia Otxoa (San Sebastian, Guipúzcoa, 1953) is a multi-faceted author. Poet and narrator, she is a habitual contributor to a range of different Spanish newspapers, such as La Vanguardia and Diario Vasco, and literary reviews, such as Leer, Turia, Barcarola, Cármenes and Texturas. In addition to her writing, her creative work extends to the fields of the plastic arts, childrens illustration and experimental poetry. She has held a number of exhibitions and is the author of the poetry collections Composición ante la luz y la sombra (1978), Luz del aire, in collaboration with sculptor Ricardo Ugarte (1982), Cuaderno de Bitácora (1985), Centauro (1989) and Letá dei barbari (1997). Her work has been included in several anthologies, such as Antología Poética Vasca (1987), La luz inextinguible. Ensayos sobre literatura vasca actual (1993), Ellas tienen la palabra (1997), Mosaico Ibérico. Ensayos sobre poesía y diversidad (1999) and Poesía Visual Española (2007) and has also been translated into several languages.
