El pecio del Guadiaro

This book presents the detailed study from a set of more than two hundred pieces of South Gallic terra sigillata, made in the Graufesenque workshop. It is an unique ensemble due to the nature of the finding. They are found in an underwater context over several decades taken out by the nets of the fishermen of the port of Estepona. We have developed a complete ceramological analysis of nine types; one of which is unprecedented in the repertoires of productions of this workshop —the Graufesenque—. We have also examined the stamps, with more than 150 examples, corresponding to thirty-one different potters of which two are unpublished. In addition to the novel contributions, the analysis carried out also allows us to propose questions about organizational and productive aspects from the Graufesenque workshop.
