Jose Ramón Trujillo is a doctor of philology at the Autonomous University of Madrid. He is currently the director of SIAL Ediciones, president of the Committee for Translation and Language Rights of Spain’s PEN Club, spokesperson for the Spanish Africanists Association in the Spanish Section of the European Council on African Studies (CEEA-AEA) and publisher of the periodicals Estudios Africanos and Linguax. Revista de Lenguas Aplicadas. As a writer, Trujillo has published Cinco poemas morales (1995), Arte del olvido (1997) and El reino (2002). His work has been featured in numerous anthologies and translated into Italian, German, Portuguese, French and Arabic. Grial is a selection of eighteen poems prepared exclusively for the Poesia de paper collection and through the verses in it, Jose Ramón Trujillo travels to the past and memory, while reflecting about fortune and the essence of the life.
