In the Middle Ages, battles were extraordinary events. Compared to the daily occurrence of other military operations, such as sieges or campaigns of devastation, battles were uncommon events of an exceptional nature, both unforgettable and fascinating. Today, thanks to epic literature and war films, there is still a great interest in these historical facts. Therefore, this book sets out to review and evaluate the idea we have of a medieval battle, highlighting the tactical behaviour of armies, mobilised human resources or the fate of winners and losers.
