Whether be it in novels, poetry, theatre, architecture, geography, art, films or myths landscape unfolds itself upon reality and tends to construct itself into a hyper reality in signs that is self-sufficient in shape and contents. Landscapes live over reality and when they are transformed by the urban pressure or the over exploitation of their resources they survive to reality. This would not lead us to forget that behind landscapes exists a place and beings that demand attention and acknowledgement. Nor to reduce nature to be a mere cultural construction. Because human beings give meaning space through landscapes and the relationship between places and landscapes. Far from being vain for the arts and letters, this involves deep ethic and aesthetic consequences. Lecturas del Paisaje is born from a desire for scanning the complex relationship between places and landscapes. This book is offered to the reader as a space for reflection that is diverse in its own interests and perspectives. In order to make more comprehensible in the different faces of the polyhedron that conform landscapes and reality. For this, Lecturas del Paisaje contributes to the biodiversity of knowledge which is a benefit for the natural life of the planet and the cultural life of the humanity.
