Sinopsis
The Relevance of Scientific Education Project (ROSE) is an international research study based on the common application of an extensive questionnaire within a theoretical framework with a twofold thrust: adopting students’ perspectives and exploring affective factors in science education; it provides a platform for students’ voices. The specific scope of the study that appears here is even more provocative, since it endavours to discover students’ interests and preferences in one specific field: the contents of the scientific curriculum. Scores of countries all over the world have taken part in the ROSE study, but the work that appears here refers to the application of a part of it in the Balearic Islands. This report restricts itself to describing the most significant results achieved by island students.
