Sinopsis
On the basis of the careful analysis of a large mass of historical documents from the Archivo General de Indias, this monograph analyzes the relationships built among the members of the Real Audiencia of Manila, and between them and the society of Manila of that time by means of an innovative historiographical approach in the area of Philippine Studies. The period investigated goes from 1584 (foundation of the Real Audiencia of Manila) to 1630 (the first visita of that court).
