Sinopsis
Author of poetry and prose, born in Valencia in 1963. He dropped out of letters to undertake works such as a doorman and a dancer in a nightclub, pine tree trimmer, package deliverer and weigher of toxic urban waste dump of Dos Aguas. His various jobs have been not only means of subsistence, but also intense adventures that have given him the opportunity to experience the solitude of the countryside, to intensify his poetic vocation and deepen in the reading of authors such as Juan Ramón Jiménez, Luis Cernuda y Blas de Otero. He won the King Juan Carlos Award in 1987 for his La luz, de otra manera, the Award for Young Creation of the Loewe Foundation in 1990 for Los ojos del extraño, the International Poetry Prize of the City of Melilla in 1995 for La plata de los días and the Loewe Foundation Award in 2001 for Santa deriva. He is also the author of El sueño verdadero, Madrid, 2003.

Hay un libro de Vicente Gallego que se llama 'La Plata de los días' y es uno de mis libros favoritos de poemas. Ahora mismo está descatalogado y está contenido en su antología poética. Es una delicia auténtica que a él ya no le gusta, porque ha cambiado muchísimo como poeta, se ha vuelto mucho más místico, y este libro es de una poesía mucho más visceral, más carnal, que es la que me gusta, por mi propia forma de escribir canciones.
