Sinopsis

He reunido en este libro nuevos animales, que sólo esperan a ser elaborados con un puñado de cuentas y un poco de alambre por algún aficionado a los animales con cuentas y abalorios. He intentado satisfacer los máximos deseos posibles. Mi más sincero agradecimiento por todas vuestras amables cartas. Podréis encontrar en este libro pájaros exóticos como el colibrí o la cotorra jendaya. Con el unicornio y el hipocampo nos movemos en el mundo de la fantasía, pero todos los animales restantes andan por algún lugar del mundo. El lagarto de fuego, con sus vivos colores, habita en Sudáfrica. Este lagarto tiene colores intensos bajo el sol, pero de noche se vuelve completamente gris. A menudo me suelen preguntar qué se puede hacer con estos pequeños animales. Doy una propuesta entre otras muchas: humedecer con agua una cajita de madera (13 x 15,5 x 8 cm) y teñirla con pintura para madera de colores alegres muy diluida. Esbozar un paisaje con materiales naturales (ramitas, cortezas, etc.), e integrar allí a los animales. Por último, decorar la cajita con una disposición artística, por ejemplo, en forma piramidal.
